With the Eid break just around the corner, there is no better time to catch one of the highly anticipated blockbusters that are due out.

Global cinema chain, Cinépolis, will be screening five major Hollywood and Bollywood films in its Bahrain and Oman theatres over the long break, including Godzilla: King of the Monsters, X-Men Dark Phoenix, John Wick 3, Secret Life of Pets 2 and Bharat.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as they face off against god-sized monsters, including Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. The film will be screened in 4D at Cinépolis Bahrain.

The story of one of the X-Men’s most beloved characters, Jean Grey, X-Men Dark Phoenix, follows her journey as she evolves into the iconic Dark Phoenix, one of the most powerful and unstable mutants of all.

The twelfth instalment in the X-Men film series stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Evan Peters, and Jessica Chastain.

A culmination of 20-years of X-Men movies, the film has been billed as the most intense and emotional X-Men movie ever made. The film will be screened in 4D at Cinépolis Bahrain.

Starring Keanu Reeves, Halle Berry, Laurence Fishburne, Mark Dacascos, Asia Kate Dillon, Lance Reddick, Anjelica Huston and Ian McShane, John Wick 3 sees legendary hit man, John Wick, gun down a member of the High Table, the shadowy international assassin’s guild, and consequently be stripped of the organization’s protective services. The film will be screened in 4D at Cinépolis Bahrain.

Secret Life of Pets 2 sees Max face some major challenges after his owner, Katie, gets married and has a child called Liam, causing him to become overprotective. On a family trip to the countryside, Max meets a farm dog named Rooster, and both attempt to overcome his fears.

The sequel to Secret Life of pets features the voice talents of Patton Oswalt, Eric Stonestreet, Kevin Hart, Jenny Slate, Ellie Kemper, Tiffany Haddish, Lake Bell, Nick Kroll, Dana Carvey, Hannibal Buress, Bobby Moynihan, and Harrison Ford. The film will be screened in the Junior Theatre at Cinépolis’ Bahrain and Oman cinemas.

The highly anticipated Hindi-language period drama, Bharat, follows the journey of a man and a nation together. Starring Bollywood superstars, Salman Khan and Jackie Shroff, it traces India’s post-independence history from the perspective of a common man from the age of 18 to 70.

The Bahrain and Oman cinemas both feature a Junior Theatre, a one-of-a-kind cinema that has been designed to allow families to enjoy their favourite movies in a welcoming and fun space that expertly caters to their needs.

The Junior Theatre features a colourful Jungle Gym, complete with slide and ball pit, as well as fun beanbag seating. Every screening shown in the Junior Theatre is split to include a 15-minute intermission to allow restless children to take a break, enjoy some snacks or play a while. Only films rated G or PG will be shown in the Junior Theatre.
