Hollywood starlet Nicole Kidman lands a role as the new face of Etihad and the “Fast & Furious 777” aircraft is revealed

The UAE’s national carrier has revealed its new “Flying Reimagined” brand campaign, featuring Hollywood starlet Nicole Kidman.

The Australian star made her debut in the first of of the airline’s new commercial series, also appearing at the premiere screening in Abu Dhabi, along with a hand-selected audience of VIP and media invitees.

The feature flaunts the First and Business Class offerings aboard Etihad’s Airbus A380, as well as depecting a variety of destination highlights; including Marseille, with its Vieux Port Pavilion, and the 17th century baroque hall of the historic Strahov Library in Prague.

Kidman is featured as both the star and narrator of the campaign, due to be shown around the world, along with printed versions for magazines, website and billboards. The ad also shows off The Residence by Etihad, a three-room flying apartment that debuted just last year.

“Nicole Kidman, as a globally respected artist, was the perfect voice and face for our story, and embodies worldly sophistication, intelligence, originality, and elegance – values which form the foundations of the Etihad brand,” explained Peter Baumgartner, Etihad’s CCO.

Just days after the unveiling of the new brand campaign, Etihad also revealed the luxurious Fast & Furious 777 airliner at Los Angeles International Airport – following the UAE capital’s starring role as a primary shoot location.

Vin Diesel, the main star of the Fast & Furious movie franchise, appeared as Etihad Airways Flight 171 arrived from Abu Dhabi to kick off the global junket and world premiere of Furious 7, which arrives in theatres April 3.

The Fast & Furious 777 will fly direct on the Abu Dhabi to LA route, which opened last June.
