Located in The Oberoi Dubai Hotel, Waka is the latest restaurant to bring South American flavours to Dubai.
Deriving from the word ‘huaca’ which means blessed and under the direction of executive chef Roberto Segura, Waka creates a space where guests can enjoy a taste of Latin culture.
Inspired by his upbringing in Latin America with influences from the East, Segura has conceived a menu featuring the hot rock ceviche, beef pachamama and the signature coco loco to end the meal on a sweet note.
Launched by the team behind Craft Café, Waka aims to offer a relaxed space. From the vibrant decoration on the floors to the artwork adorning the walls, every detail has been carefully curated.
The space is divided into two distinct areas — the main restaurant which will seat up to 90 guests and the Chef’s Bar, where guests can experience a bespoke menu cooked live by Segura, will accommodate up to eight diners.
